MOOSACK - I'm About to Burst Apart

So, this is sort of late, but The Antlers (responsible for the ambient, gut wrenching Hospice) are releasing a new album, Burst Apart, in May, and were even kind/stupid enough to play their entire album from start to finish during a show at SXSW this year. My good friend Marcus first brought The Antlers to my attention, and I slowly began to fall in love with them. The sound they create in each of their songs feels truly genuine, and I'm even more excited for what's to come.

Where Nobody Can Go

IMPORTANT: THIS BLOG IS NOT ABOUT CELLARS. :D

Hi, welcome to the official blog of P. Race, the aspiring rap artist (LOL). It's sort of the cliche thing to do now for people to create blogs to share their thoughts with the world, so I decided if everyone else can do it, I can to. Any chance for me to feel cooler about myself is A-okay with me.

So, what to expect here at The Cellar?
Well, the main reason I'm making this blog is, though I'm not the most gifted writer or the most valid debater, I have a lot of varied tastes and along with them, lots of varied views. So, here's a list of what I'll be posting.

- FEELM (Film/Movie/TV) Reviews. I would call them something else, but I haven't grasped an appealing enough name yet. They'll basically be reactions to films and TV shows I've watched. Being a film major, I watch A LOT of movies, from French New Wave classics to shitty, modern day gorefests. I'll try my hardest to write up something for each film/TV show I watch, but I can't make any promises.

- MOOSACK (Music). From recent pickups to new songs to (maybe) reviews (probably not), I want to post about new and old music I'm digging at the moment.

- RAPPAR (Lyrics/P. Race related). I admit that I'm really not a rapper, but even coming to that realization won't stop me from writing and posting new songs I've recently written/recorded. Should be cool.

-VEEDIO GAYMES (Video Games). I play an annoying amount of video games (my roommate still plays more), so I might as well share my thoughts with them. Will probably contain some reactions to new games I get, and maybe some pointless, opinionated reviews here or there.

-ERRYTHING ELSE (Everything Else).  Anything not related to the three listed above.

It feels. so. good.

Wondering what my background image is? It's a still from Eric Rohmer's Claire's Knee. Has one of my favorite scenes ever. I'll write about it one day, but for now, it helps create the stalker, rapist image I'm going for with this blog.
